About this event
The League of Women Voters of Montgomery County will present information about the questions that will appear on the November 2024 ballots. Voters are posed to vote on:
- Reproductive freedom – whether to enshrine the right to abortion access in the state constitution.
- Decreasing the term limit that applies to the County Executive from the current three terms to two consecutive terms.
Get your questions answered and also learn about opportunities for volunteering to help with the election process from Ralph Watkins, Chair of the Making Democracy Work Committee of the League of Women Voters of Montgomery County. Mr. Watkins is a retired attorney who has been active in the League of Women Voters for over 20 years. Maryland Delegate Sarah Wolek will also give a brief overview of hot topics coming up in Maryland in coming months.
