About this event

In honor of the 250th anniversary of Montgomery County, local historian Ralph Buglass will take you on a guided journey in pictures through the county's history and the myriad changes in time, people and place that have made the county what it is today. Ralph will discuss how the Civil War shaped Maryland — a border state with deeply divided loyalties — and make stops from rural beginning to suburban sprawl and the highly urbanized areas now on the county map. Our distinguished speaker is a Montgomery County native and an instructor associated with Johns Hopkins and Montgomery College, as well as Montgomery History. Includes Q&A.
