This month's Neighborhood Walk features two short walks led by Little Falls Village Executive Director Doran Flowers.
We'll begin with an optional walk through Potomac Palisades Conservation Park, exploring a notable example of community activism while learning about the history of a Freedmen's settlement and considering how the landscape has changed over time.
Please note: This trail includes uneven dirt paths and some slopes and may not be suitable for those with balance or mobility concerns.
We'll then return for a second, easier (though still hilly) stroll around a block of Glen Echo Heights. This walk will highlight the many Little Falls Village members, volunteers, and supporters who live in the neighborhood, while offering stories and insights into the area's history, character, and community connections.
Time: 6:00 – 7:30pm
Gathering Location: Doran Flowers and Tina Hsu's driveway
5024 Wissioming Rd
Weather permitting.
Special thanks to Dana Rice of the Compass Group for sponsoring the Little Falls Village Neighborhood Walk Spotlight Series, and to the Glen Echo Heights Citizens Association for welcoming us into the neighborhood.
