Evidence suggests that people can reduce their risk of Alzheimer’s and related brain disorders. Dr. Marilyn Albert, from the Department of Neurology of the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and Director of the Johns Hopkins Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center, will update us on the latest research related to the potential role of lifestyle factors in modifying dementia risk. Lifestyle factors under discussion will include cognitive activity, physical activity, social engagement, and vascular risk factors (including high blood pressure, high cholesterol, obesity, and smoking).
