Montgomery County Recreation & MD Senior Olympics
Tuesday, April 29 at 7-8:15 pm
Do you know that Montgomery County Recreation arranges day trips and tours for mature adults? In fact, the County offers many ways for adults to stay active and healthy. Stacy Sigler, County Recreation Supervisor for the Seniors Team, will talk about:
COUNTY WELLNESS & RECREATION ACTIVITIES: Adults 55+ enjoy many ways to stay active and healthy. Additionally, senior centers have diverse amenities that may include fitness rooms, social halls, meeting spaces, classrooms, billiards and game rooms.
MD SENIOR OLYMPICS: You do not have to be a seasoned athlete or champion in training to compete and join in the fun. Those 50+ may select from a range of 30+ events and activities, including bowling, billiards, bocce, pickleball, shuffleboard, table tennis, and much more!
We will also hear briefly from George Smith of Wyngate-Maplewood Village about his experiences competing in the Senior Olympics cycling time-trail and his offer to give all Villagers an "on-the-bike" orientation and practice. Program organized by Little Falls Village and Montgomery County Recreation.
